Bijou After Hours
BIJOU AFTER HOURS is a 14-week late-night film series that will run through May 3 on Friday and Saturday nights at FilmScene. The screenings are free for University of Iowa students and five dollars for the general public.

Showcasing cult classics, fan-favorites and the latest in genre cinema, the series continues in March with four prominent features: BOTTLE ROCKET, Wes Anderson’s quirky debut heist comedy, DONNIE DARKO, the trippy sci-fi mind-bender that demands multiple viewings, ESCAPE FROM TOMORROW, a surreal trip to DisneyLand made against the wishes of the big mouse, and THE BIG LEBOWSKI, the Coen’ Brothers beloved ode to The Dude.

The Bijou Film Board is a non-profit, student-run organization dedicated to the exhibition of American independent, foreign and classic cinema. Established in 1972, the Bijou has built a reputation as one of the preeminent student-run cinemas in the nation and has since partnered with FilmScene to assist with the operation of the downtown cinema.
