Three actresses at different stages of their career. One from before the 1979 Islamic revolution, one popular star of today known throughout the country, and a young girl longing to attend a drama conservatory. Amidst turmoil and racial conflict in a Francophone African state, a white French woman fights for her coffee crop, her family, and ultimately her life. An enterprising Saudi girl signs on for her school’s Koran recitation competition as a way to raise the remaining funds she needs in order to buy the green bicycle that has captured her interest. When five orphan girls are seen innocently playing with boys on a beach, their scandalized conservative gaurdians confine them while force marriages are arranged.
