FilmScene on the Ped Mall is located in the restored 1850s Provisions and Packing Building in the heart of downtown Iowa City, just steps away from local shopping, restaurants, cafes, and nightlife.

Travel:
FilmScene is located near I-80, Iowa Highway 1 and US Highway 6. If you are traveling on I-80, the Dubuque Street Exit (244) is the nearest exit.
Parking:
FilmScene on the Ped Mall is located is within one block of two downtown parking ramps: the Dubuque Street Garage and the Capitol Street Ramp. There are multiple other downtown ramps within a short walk. Ramp parking is free for the first hour. A full map of downtown parking ramps is available here.
Metered parking is free after 6:00pm and all day on Sundays along all of the streets downtown.
The Cinema
Our original downtown cinema opened in 2013 as a single-screen venue, with an additional screen added in 2015 and a revitalization in 2021. Now boasting two screens (54-seat and 20-seat) in a beautifully restored historic venue, FilmScene on the Ped Mall is a comfortably-spaced, intimate viewing experience with first-rate digital picture and sound.
Ticketing
FilmScene on the Ped Mall is reserved seating for most shows. Select your seats online from home or in person at the box office and you'll have more time to visit the concession stand or mingle with friends instead of guarding your seat!
Accessibility
FilmScene strives to be a space for everyone.
All of our theaters offer wheelchair seating and companion seating. Both of our locations offer accessible restrooms, concession stands and lobby areas. The Ped Mall offers open caption screenings of select new releases for deaf and hard of hearing audiences.

FilmScene on the Ped Mall is open seven days a week. Our Box Office opens one hour before the day's first showtime.
In addition to tickets, our box office sells gift cards in any denomination, FilmScene memberships, and select merch.
